Playing with paint

Well... busy and tired these days, did not get chances to update my blog for a while... My kitchen was almost done, except for painting or window treatment. So I proceeded with choosing colors. Here are some photos as I tested possible color schema:

Light blue wall or deep blue wall? brown reddish wood trim or white trim ? light blue door or deep blue door? I found my imagination is not that great :(

Finally decided, light blue wall, deep blue doors and white window frame. I am satisfied with the result. It looks even better in person than in the photo below. It was difficult to paint the dark wood window frame into white. Took me hours and hours, layers and layers of paint!

And I finished painting my fireplace too! It made the room a lot brighter... I painted the brick wall with Swiss Coffee semi-gloss, same as kitchen window frames, so that they match each other; painted the fire insert with semi-gloss black paint (specified good for metal and anti-rust), then metallic gold oil paint around the trim.
