A chair for 3

I have been doing home remodeling and fixing and painting for a while now, finally it's time to 'relocate' my kitties to the backyard. I made them a nice kitty home inside my big big storage in the yard, put a jumbo moving box there with a couple of big thick cushions. I sat there inside the storage with them for a while and made sure they liked their new bedding. They have food, water, litter box, a small 'tree' for scratching their nails... all the necessities. Except for toys, not yet. I left the door ajar, so they could go play in the yard any time they want to.

I used to keep them indoor only, and whenever I opened the door, they would try to run out. Now that I moved them outdoors, they try to run inside the house almost all the time. How ironic! I let them come in to the house when I am around. However, there is no litter box inside anymore. I wonder how often I should let them go to bathrooms. I noticed it seemed they could stay indoor for hours and hours without needing a bathroom. So I googled it. Some say adult cats goes to bathroom 1-3 times a day. Ok, I guess not that frequent. I hope they would alert me when they need to though. But before I understand their language, I guess I would try to toss them out whenever they make continuous sound... Safe enough? We'll see...

Right now I am typing this blog while sitting on my task chair. They both are sleeping on the chair with me and making purring sound. A chair of 3 :)

Cats are pretty funny. If you bring them in, they want to go out and if you put them out, they want right back in. What they want is for the door to be open so that they can decide whether they come in or not. You might consider installing a cat door with a magnetic lock. You put the transceiver on their collars so only they can open it. That'll keep other cats and raccoons and stuff out.

That's an interesting idea, the transceiver. I wonder what would happen if I put it on one kitty only and not the other. Then one would see how come the other could just get through, and keep scratching her head....?? ha!
