Is this a steal?? Well, it's stolen!

========================

I went to see it immediately after it was listed. Looked at the price, I would believe it's a steal! Well, it was stolen within 1 week. Cash offer?

From a distance, looked like it has a grand double door at entrance.

Living room. The door has a sign saying 'Exit', so we believed it was used as office previously.

A room right next to the living room. The door also leads to the outside! Together with the living room door, they look like a double door from outside, ha.

Walking toward the kitchen, which is at the very back of the house.

Kitchen --- the door in the back leads right outside to the open carport.

Kitchen has no stove, which is common in bank owned houses, and I just learned that banks would not loan you if stove is missing. They consider it a requirement for 'livability', which I totally disagree :( I can survive with an electric hot plate and microwave.

Shooting from the kitchen. It has a dining area next to it, then living area leading to the 'exit' (or entrance?).

Small master bedroom with attached bathroom. Nothing exciting, outside the window, immediate neighbor is a multiplex rental building. You can possibly wave to say hi.

Simple master bathroom. At least nothing is horrible.

Let's go upstairs. (Well, I shot it while going down).

Wow.... this is so cool! Completely like a cabin penthouse.

A closet? An attic for sleep in?

Even bathroom is full of wood paneling.

Viewing backward towards the stairway.

Side view, the patio door leads to the dinning area, carport at the back connected to kitchen area.

Carport area. I checked the county parcel map online, the whole parking area belongs to this house! Maybe it is partially rented to the shop next door?

===========================================
Pros :
  • Great price value
  • Convenient location --- right at downtown Sunnyvale
  • Good for doing business (A medicine shop right next to it on Iowa, 2 houses away was a law firm on S. Sunnyvale)
  • Cool 'penthouse' on second floor
  • Bright and fairly clean

Cons :
  • Noisy --- S. Sunnyvale is 2 lane traffic road, with buses stopping by; I noticed some of the windows and patio doors were double pane already, yet could not stop the noise
  • Not homey --- there are total of 5 doors leading to the outside, 2 doors on S. Sunnyvale, patio double door to Iowa, 2 back doors to the carport, with one of them inside a bathroom! Isn't that weird? No fence around the house at all. Well, if it was used for business, it's meant to be 'open' to the public I suppose.
  • No privacy even with carport --- shared drive way with the shop next to it. I think the house owns the parking area, and rented out spaces to the shop. (Extra income?)
  • Penthouse --- cool or weird? different people probably will call it differently, heh.

I used to live two blocks from this house and walked by it quite a bit. I definitely remember some kind of business there.

I would believe so. But don't see any signs anymore, not sure what type of biz it was before. It's probably good to have business downstairs and live upstairs.
